Invented in the 19th century by Doctor Richard Barter, Romano-Irish baths combine the benefits of Roman thermal baths with those of Irish air baths.
They consist of gently warming the body up then cooling it down via a series of different temperature air and steam baths.
Be guided through the steps of this well-being circuit:
1. Tepidarium
Hot air bath heated to 54°, 15mins.
2. Lecanium
Very hot air bath heated to 68°, 5mins.
3. Steambaths
Steam bath heated to 40°, 15mins.
4. Caldarium steambaths
Steam bath heated to 48°, 5mins.
5. Pool heated to 39°: 10mins.
6. Pool heated to 36°: 15mins.
7. Pool heated to 28°: 5mins.
8. Cold water bath heated to 14°: 1min.
Complete the circuit by resting in our relaxation room where you can enjoy use of our tea lounge.
